How did you find NMR?

I found NMR through a position opening on Indeed.com.

What is your job title at NMR? Describe what you do. 

My current job title is Procurement Analyst. My primary job function is to coordinate purchasing the needed items to support required projects for our government customer.  

How long have you been with NMR? 

I have been with NMR 9 years as of January 2024.  

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

The most rewarding part of my job is to know that I am playing my role in protecting America.  

What made you choose to work at NMR?

I look into any company that I am interested in and actually realized that an old friend worked for NMR. I called the NMR employee and he had nothing but good things to say about working with the company. After speaking with my friend I felt like this was a good life choice.

What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your job? 

My job is rewarding in many ways. I am a part of a program that is working to keep the American citizens safe. Through our contract, we are able provide our vendors and their partners with jobs with each order completed through procurement. Then the most rewarding aspect of my job is to be proud I am working to support NMR, a company that cares about it’s employees.

What are some job challenges that you face? 

Some daily challenges that I face within my job are not having as much insight as I would like into what changes are coming from our manufactures which provide the items used to support the Customer. End-of-life (EOL) items and Service Package changes can affect our upcoming projects so foreknowledge of these changes would be helpful for planning purposes.  

What makes NMR different from your past workplaces? 

NMR is completely different from past companies that I have worked with in many ways. The company truly cares about the employees and is forward leaning in reaching out to employees so that we can actually send our input concerning upcoming potential changes/ company event planning. NMR leadership goes above and beyond to keep all employees in the loops of any contract changes or just reaching out to individuals within the company to see how they are doing on a personal level. I have never been with a company that has put so much effort into making employees feel appreciated and genuinely concerned about their lives.

What is your favorite thing to do outside of work? 

I compete in barrel racing events outside of work traveling across the southeast and I sell horses across the Unites States. I also enjoying going to the gym (free thanks to wellness benefits with NMR), and I enjoying boating on the lake near my house in the summer.  

Where is somewhere that you’ve never been but would love to go to?

I have never been to Hawaii but would love to travel there one day. I love the beach so anywhere with the ocean and white sandy beaches would be an amazing vacation for me! 

Is there a hobby that you would like to try?

I would like to try boxing. I feel like the sport requires a tremendous amount of discipline and this would be an amazing workout!  

What song is currently on repeat?

"I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe. The song and movie are such inspirations of how God can move in your life at exactly the time you need Him.
